Four C's for More Bible Understanding

By: Dr. James and Natalie Ricks

  1. Commitment
    Commit ones heart to God
    Mt. 11:25, 1 Cor. 2:14, Mt 7:21, Ja. 1:22
  2. Constancy
Constantly continue to seek God. Ask God for insight, and every day for guidance.
    Prov. 16:2, 25, Ps. 119:18-34, Isa. 59:2
  3. Consistency
God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Heb. 13:8. Nothing God has ever done is wrong. Old and New Testament work together. Never accept anything that does not square with the Bible truth you already know.
    Isa. 18:10-11, Acts. 10:14-15, 34, Deut. 13:1-3, Heb 8:7-10, Jer. 31:31
  4. Context
Many times the Bible is misunderstood because too many use tunnel vision. They find a verse and build doctrines upon it without studying the obvious context verse, meaning of the passage, era it was written and build false doctrines. (example, snake handlers, Acts. 28:3-4)
