Pod Prep: 9-30-16 The Feast of Trumpets the Happiest Event in Human History
THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS REPRESENTS CHRIST’S RETURN AND THE END OF MAN’S UNGODLY RULE ON THE EARTH.
The Feast of Trumpets can be compared to the entrance of God’s people into the Promised Land. When the Last Trumpet sounds, Our Lord will begin a new age of happiness and joy for God’s people and for the rest of the world. Just as Joshua had the priests blow the trumpets the seventh time and the victory needed to enter the Promised Land was dramatically provided, so shall the walls of political oppression and sin come tumbling down. A happy victory for God’s people! See Joshua 6:16. Colossians Chapter 2 mentions that the Holy Days are foreshadows of things to come. The first Fall Holy Day, called the Feast of Trumpets represents that joyous day. The day when evil Babylon the great will be smashed and God’s people will enter the kingdom of God. Note Rev. 18 & 19.
CHRIST IS COMING AT THE LAST TRUMP TO RESCUE THE WORLD AND USHER IN PARADISE
Paul tells the Thessalonians not to grieve for those who have passed away. They will join us at the Last Trump. The trumpet call will signal the return of the Messiah and our resurrection to immortality. It will be a call to paradise and mankind learning how to live a fulfilled and happy life obeying God. Note, I Thess 4:16-17. We will be in paradise forever and will ever be with the Lord. Paul’s says to comfort one another with that joyous news vs. 18. The dead are asleep awaiting this happy day. See I Cor 15:16, 20. The resurrection of the dead and the second coming of Christ are linked together. The dead are not in heaven shuffling harps but awaiting the triumphal return of Jesus. Note I Cor. 15:51-52. When the last trump sounds we will be raised to God’s family. Wow! Further see I Cor. 15:53-54. We just need to be steadfast now vs. 57-58.
WHEN THE TRUMPET SOUNDS WE WILL BE LIKE CHRIST, WOW!
The Seventh Trumpet will sound and those in the true church will be resurrected to be sons of God. We will be in the family of God. Christians who reject the Mark of the Beast will be baby Gods. We will be able to see God face to face because we will be like Christ. We won’t have his power but will be in the same family. Note I John 3:2-3. Paul’s writes that a wonderful thing is coming in our future. See I Cor 2:9. Adoption is coming for us on the happy day when the Last Trump sounds. We will become more like Jesus, from glory to glory. Note II Cor 3:18. The world is waiting for the last trumpet sound, the return of Christ and the birth of the sons of God. See Romans 8:18, 21-22. Nothing is worthy to be compared with the glory we will inherit at the Last Trump. In the meantime, we must be about our Father’s business: Preaching the Gospel to all who will listen, obeying God’s Commandments and letting God’s love and mercy show through us in our daily lives.
