Political Correctness and Biblical Christianity
POLITICAL CORRECTNESS IN CURRENT SOCIETY
PC at its core is a form of thought control. A culture war exists between traditional Judeo-Christian values and modern progressivism or liberalism. Progressives are prohibiting many Christian concepts from the public square. Political Correctness attempts to not offend anyone or group in words spoken except for Christians. Christian should not wish to offend others but neither should free speech be so limited. William Bernaise the founder of Public Relations talked about the power of ‘Semantic Tyranny”. He meant putting words and the thoughts behind those words off limits.
The Bible and the Ten Commandments are prohibited in most of education and the media. However one should remember the founding fathers of America chiseled them into the Supreme Court and other government buildings. But now they are on the forbidden list. These things are considered objectionable now in polite society and in the public square. However Jesus and the Ten Commandments are the core and heart of Biblical Christianity. Note Gal. 5:11 and Matt 19:17 and John 14:21, 15:10.
Large dictatorial governments believe it is important to restrict religious freedom. If religion is a factor then they wish to control the religion. Political Correctness is a catch phrase for ‘the government’s socialist agenda’ controlling and dominating speech in some countries. We citizens have to toe the liberal government line on issues like abortion, unbiblical marriage policies, and open borders, radical feminism etc. or else be reported to the sensitivity police for being intolerant. Truth is irrelevant! This is especially true in academia and the mainstream media. Microsoft has developed a PC grammar checker for all our written documents. Note Isa. 5:20-21 and Mal. 2:17. God is no longer in the picture. They have essentially removed God and prayer from our schools, but we now have Political Correctness instead!
POLITICAL CORRECTNESS IN THE PAST
The huge all powerful communistic or socialistic governments of the twentieth century demanded PC. They leaders were bolstered by propaganda techniques developed to ‘deify’ the leaders. Further they made it a crime to speak against the leader or any government policies. Stalin created an atmosphere of sheer terror regarding saying the wrong thing. PC was enforced with deadly consequences. They encouraged children to spy on their parents and put in place neighbors to spy on those who were too well informed or educated beyond their indoctrinations. Justice Scalia said in 2016 about these Atheistic governments that they were the major mass murderers not religion. Stalin’s communist government murdered 62 million of its own people in its 75 year history. Further Mao’s communist government murdered 35 million of its own people from 1946 to 1976.
Scalia explains that without God the leaders and their public have no reason to value human life. God values human life made in his image, but without God, people are of no special value. The ends justify the means. The gulags of the Soviet Union were nightmarish. So were the concentration and labor camps of the NATIONAL SOCIALIST PARTY. One has to feel sorry for the Germans and Russians and many others who were afraid to speak or think certain thoughts in the twentieth century. The ancient world forced people to deify or worship pagan leaders of the great empires as well. Note Dan 6:5, 7. Worship of ‘Caesar” was why so many kings took the title of ‘Caesar”.
POLITICAL CORRECTNESS IN THE FUTURE
Bible prophesy reveals at least one enormous empire coming in the end of the age with a dictator who will require the world to worship him. No doubt, those who do not fall in line and criticize him will face horrible consequences. One can only imagine how strong the PC will be in that empire. Media power and propaganda techniques will be even more pervasive and powerful than they are now. Think of people in central Europe in 1940 shouting ‘Heil Hitler’ the NAZI version of ‘Hail Caesar’. It will seem small compared to what is coming to Europe at the end of this evil age. Note II Thess. 2:3-4. Why the great falling away? No doubt the people will be thoroughly brain washed in progressive anti-Biblical concepts. Why will God allow this? They do not LOVE the truth. See II Thess. 2:9-11.
Do we love the truth? Do we love Biblical truths that are unpopular? Those so deceived will suffer the plagues of God. The true church will be in places of safety. See Rev 2:10. This beast of a dictator will magnify his persona and demand all worship him. See Dan 11:36-37. He will create a strong mixture of Babylonish religious concepts and the worship of himself until he is thrown alive into the lake of fire by Christ. Dan 11:38-39.
Daniel 11:36 “And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done”.
