What form does information take in a living being?
- Information is best described as the reduction of uncertainty
- Genes of various size and dominance represent the presence of information.
- By definition, information can never come from some random event.
- NO ONE has ever seen a random process that produces new genetic information.
What about Mutations?
- 99.9% of all mutations are useless or harmful.
- Natural selection only selects from what already exists.
- Even the beneficial mutations always result in a LOSS of information.
- Genetic information is always subdivided, it cannot increase.
What is the long-term effect of Mutations?
- For 100 years, scientists have been mutating fruit flies.
- 1000 fruit fly mutations have been observed.
- If mutations continue indefinitely, All populations become STERILE.
- Harmful mutations will never be completely eliminated.
