After the Millennium, Satan’s Last Victims of Deception
ALL HUMANS BEINGS GET TESTED BEFORE ENTERING GOD’S GREAT FAMILY
Those who grew up in the wonderful devil free world of the Millennium would not have been tested by God. Some probably will not have truly repented of their human nature. They have somehow never really repented. They do not want to believe that they need salvation from our human nature. The phrase, a man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still will be true from some people toward the latter years of the Millennium. It is hard to believe that people experiencing the wonderful physical Kingdom of God, and learning how much better it is than the horrible, agonizing, paganized world of our age could not fully repent of their human nature; totally believe in God’s goodness and forgiveness and enter His family. But, that is obviously going to be the case. Note Rev 20:1-3, 7-10. God is allowing Satan to test those people in the Millennium. Some he will lead to their fiery destruction.
Note that in Matt 13:29-30. God is using the Devil to bundle up those who will refuse to truly repent and bring them to Jerusalem to be burned. Gog and Magog symbolize the forces of evil from all over the globe banded together to oppose God’s government in Jerusalem. This may take place at the Feast of Tabernacles with God’s people tabernacling in tents. But whatever the details are, it is clear that the devil will radicalize them to attack Jerusalem and God. A prophetic model of Satan’s last deception can be seen in Ezekiel 39:1, 6, and 9. The outcome is never in any doubt Satan is being used to test people but God’s victory is certain over them and Satan.
HOW IS IT POSSIBLE FOR SATAN TO DECEIVE A LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE SEEN THE GODNESS OF THE PHYSICAL KINGDOM OF GOD?
First, let us remember that Satan is very subtle. That is how he deceived Eve. Satan and his minions will when released from the bottomless pit, actively locate those who are vulnerable. Why will they be vulnerable? Most likely they have not deeply repented of their sins and been convinced of the evils of human nature. They will be told that human nature including their nature is not sinful. God is too restrictive or other clever concepts lowering their dependence on the true God of the Bible. Note II Cor 11:3-4. God will step back and test the world to see which ones will accept a false gospel and false concepts about God.
No doubt Satan will recruit useful idiots to lead others into worshipping false gods and ways. Probably those who secretly have most resented the laws and ways of God all those years will be his first advocates. He will appeal to desires for power, self-righteousness and pride. He will start off most likely with half-truths that contain a poison pill. This technique can lead to more powerful corruption of the individual once hooked and committed.
PEOPLE MUST REPENT DEEPLY SO AS TO BE IMMUNE FROM FALLING AWAY
Probably those most vulnerable will be those who have taken their salvation lightly. They did not during the Millennium, really repent of their human nature. They will never have been tested by clever temptation to sin or subtle false gospels sold to them. Satan has been locked away for all their lives until then. God will test the world by giving Satan maybe from three and half years to fourteen to test mankind (speculated time periods) that had never experienced evil before. This testing will allow some to affirm their faith in Christ and win a victory over evil influences as we are doing. However others will succumb to evil. They will fail the test like the Israelites in the desert. Unfortunately for them they will have known the truth for years and have no excuse for their failure. They will face a fiery destruction when Satan does God’s work of finding the tares and bringing them to Jerusalem to try and overthrow Gods government.
HOW NOT TO BE ONE OF SATAN’S VICTIMS NOW OR IN THE FUTURE
All of us need to work hard to repent deeply of our sin nature, what we have done sinfully and what we are inherently. Furthermore, we must come to love the truth. We must learn to love all the truth, even the horrible truth about our human nature, things we would rather not believe about ourselves. Satan, at the end of the Millennium, will find among those not yet added to the God family, many who will undoubtedly not love the truth. See I Thess 2: 9-11. We need to learn to put God first in our lives not our pride or our desires. Don’t allow the devil to encourage you to develop a root of bitterness over any losses or bad circumstances. We should all study the Bible, listen to sermons intently, prove all things and hold fast to the truth and we will be invulnerable to satanic deception. People at the end of Millennium will be given this message but some will ignore the warning. See I Thess 5: 19-22. They will fail God’s test and lose out on being a member of God’s family forever. God requires all men to choose.
SATAN IS SELF DECEIVED AND BELIEVES THAT HE SHOULD BE WORSHIPPED AND THAT HE CAN WIN
Isaiah 14:13-14, 2 Thess 2:4, Rev 13:4, Rev 12:9
He then convinces some of the people that he is the true Messiah. “People are really good”, he whispers. Possibly many will be sold on the idea of mans standards of right and wrong. Satan may encourage two extremes but both follow his leadership. One hedonistic and the other ascetic. Paganism was often so structured and developed. See Col 2:20-23. Satan wants to be worshipped and will achieve that through the beast whom he possesses. Isn’t it likely he will attempt to do something similar in this post millennium period? Those who do not repent deeply will be vulnerable to Satan’s influences because they will not love the real Messiah. They want their own way: they want the easy way. See Matt 7:13-15. Probably this “new religion” of Satan will involve earth worship as in the past. The unrepentant are destroyed at Jerusalem and Satan is locked away forever. The tares are burned and the repentant ones saved.
