Pod Prep: 3-16-18 The Holy Roman Empire And True Believers
COULD THE HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE EVER BECOME A THREAT TO AMERICA ?
During the steel tariff debate a European Union (EU) spokesperson said it was unthinkable that if war came America could not rely on its European Allies for all our steel needs. No one in the media even tumbled to the historic precedence, that twice in the twentieth century, America was at war with Central Europe. Our ignorance of history is appalling and dangerous. Germany clearly is the leader, and most dominant member of the United Europe. An empire existed in Central Europe and it will be returning in greater power.
Rev 17:7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. 8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. (KJV)
A great religious system represented by a whore riding a beastly king or dictator of the Holy Roman Empire is predicted to return to world dominating power. We need to understand where geographically was this empire and what it represents to determine if it is a threat to America. We will investigate the three verbs at the end of verse 8.

What is the history of this holy or religiously based empire?
RELEVANT HISTORY OF THE HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE
The empire was in central Europe almost always covering portions of the German and Austrian Empires, Italy and often northern France. The Holy Roman Empire has been a major player in European history since the revival of the Roman Empire. The three Reich's (or Germanic Empires) were first the European Empires of Charlemagne and Otto the Great. They were crowned and endorsed by the Papacy giving them the Holy or ecclesiastic approval to their governments. Someone had these titles until 1806 when Napoleon conquered much of Europe. He took the crown out of the Pope's hands and assisted in crowning himself Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. Great Britain used a balance of power strategy to weaken this empire in later centuries.
When Spain/Austria was the potential power threat, Britain allied against them (defeat of Spanish armada). When the French were the powerhouse on the continent the British allied with German states against them. When Germany was the great power Britain allied with France against Germany. America, with the Monroe Doctrine pushed out European Empires from the New World of the Americas. The Anglo Saxons have been diminishing the European based Holy Roman Empire for last five centuries. Someday someone in central European power politics will realize that if they wish to dominate the entire western world they must defeat America. It is beyond naivete to assume Europe will always be our ally. We assume Hitler was an anomaly and another evil dictator like him could not arise again.

The Holy Roman Empire (HRE) clearly is not what it formerly was terms of power . Yet it still is in the minds and hearts of many Europeans. The E.U. was started as the Treaty of Rome and clearly is not just a trade union built to outdo America in world trade. It is clearly political. The Brit-exit is resented in Europe. They wanted as big an empire as possible, and clearly, Germany is the dominant state in the union both financially and militarily. What does the Bible tell us about the future of this empire?
THE RISE OF THE BEAST SHALL SHOCK THE WORLD
Revelations 17:8 says that those whose names are not written in the book of life will be shocked and wonder at the beast. A beastly king or dictator probably more vile than Hitler will arise suddenly. He may have more outward charisma than Hitler but be clearly demonic and evil. His future power is obtained thru great deception and use of a powerful religious leader. I will call the religious leader the SUPER POPE. This false prophet will help the evil leader to seduce the world. The false religious system and its leader seem to ride and control the beast.
Rev 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5. And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. {harlots: or, fornications} (KJV)
People in the future will be forced to worship this dictator and the Babylonian religious system. The HRE will gain near mind control over the western world. People will be brainwashed into worshiping a man and an ancient God defying system. The Holy Roman Empire is the heir to a system set up by Nimrod to defy God. The system started shortly after Noah's time and has been perpetuated thru four world empires. Rome is the last and final version.
Dan 2:28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the King Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these; 32 This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass, {thighs: or, sides} 33 His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay. 34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. {without...: or, which was not in hands} 35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth. Note that at the end of the age, maybe only eight to twenty years from now, or less. The final empire arises with ten toes. They represent ten kings who give their power to the beast. Some of them are militarily and economically strong like iron and others are weak like clay. That description certainly fits the E.U. today perfectly. Christ will come at the end and crush them to powder. But the HRE is coming one last time.
NOW IS THE TIME TO COME OUT OF BABYLON THE GREAT
Each of us may have only a limited number of years to demonstrate that we are coming out of Babylon. Symbolic things like Easter eggs are part of the Babylonish system. This first pagan system was based on legends surrounding three figures: Nimrod the father, Semiramis the mother also called by some Ishtar, and the son Tammuz. When Nimrod died, the mother claimed that he had ascended to heaven where he had become one, with the sun god. The Satanic counterfeit is obvious. Ishtar was later deified as mother of the Sun god. She became also the queen of heaven. Nimrod and his wife Ishtar were used by Satan to create the Babylonian false religion. This false religion remains alive through all the pagan empires right until the final Holy Roman Empire is crushed by the returning Jesus Christ. Pagan folklore says a giant egg fell from heaven into the Euphrates river. The fertility goddess Ishtar came out of the egg. Babylon is not dead yet. Worshiping the rising sun in religious services, still exists.
Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. (KJV)
Now before the evil empire crushes religious freedom let's use our opportunities to get clean of Babylon's influences. We need to focus on the religious services of the true God; the deep meaning of the New Testament Passovers. We have to become deep repentant, dutiful, real followers of Christ. Maybe we have seven, eight or nine Passovers left before evil arises to deceive nearly everyone. We must use our Passovers prudently with true self-examinations.
1Co 11:27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. {damnation: or, judgment} 30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. (KJV)
The Corinthians suffered God's displeasure because they took the Passover in an unworthy manner. No one is worthy, but we can use self reflection and personal repentance to show our appreciation for God's sacrifice for us. Doing this also can be part of our proving to God that we have rejected Babylon with all its ways. Those who reject Babylon now can be in places of safety during the great trial upon all the world. We can prove ourselves now. Note Rev 3:10.
BE SPIRITUALLY ALERT BEFORE THE COMING EUROPEAN BEASTLY DICTATOR
When the world celebrates peace and a new hero of peace is proclaimed be concerned. Some day a new leader will come from somewhere in central Europe. He will be charming and have the support of a Super Pope who will be so pious. The religious leader will have united just about all Christendom. He will probably have healed the Roman and Eastern Orthodox split. This dictator will have all the press and the power of modern day propaganda, praising his greatness as a man of peace. He will be too good to believe. Then sudden war descends!
1Th 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
Those of us who know the Bible and history with the help of God's Spirit, will not be caught off guard like many Americans. Only if America significantly repents will this nation escape being conquered. It seems unlikely, but we can be both ready and protected if we stay close to God and watchful. Do not allow self to become too worldly and distracted. Be ever ready spiritually.
Rev 17:16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. (KJV)
God hates Babylons religion so much He allows the beast to turn on the church that helped him to power. This allows the dictator to be worshiped alone.
2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
When this event happens in Jerusalem, we know the return of the Messiah is coming soon, AND WE WIN!
