Prophetic Significance of New Peace Dawning Upon the Middle East
THE ABRAHAMIC PEACE ACCORD IS A BLESSING TO ALL INVOLVED
It was smart of the planners of this peace deal to name it 'The Abrahamic Accord' because that is the one thing the Jews and Arabs have in common. They are all the acknowledged sons of Abraham. Unlike the previous peace deals this one had no border incentives for the Islamic signers. We believe it will bring economic cooperation which will no doubt be beneficial to all parties, possibly even cutting into poverty within refugee camps.
Psalms 122:6 NKJV 6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you.
Those that love Jerusalem or Israel are blessed. This deal will allow the high tech business savvy nation of Israel to combine with the resources and cleverness of the Persian Gulf states to create a greater prosperity juggernaut, probably. Peace in the middle east is good for the entire world and this is the beginning of a process to isolate the world's number one supporter of terrorism ,Iran. This is good for all and will save lives and many will live with less terror.
Psalms 128:5-6 NKJV 5 The LORD bless you out of Zion, And may you see the good of Jerusalem All the days of your life. 6 Yes, may you see your children's children. Peace be upon Israel!
Eventually all nation in the world will benefit from peace pouring out to Zion or Jerusalem. This prophecy will happen someday but, a smaller fulfillment of it cannot be a bad outcome for the world.
ARE THERE ANY POTENTIAL DANGERS COMING FROM PEACE?
We believe the answer is, Yes ! A possible false lulling of Israel and maybe even America, into a false sense of long term security. This could lead to a lowering of awareness of the potential dangers. Little Israel needs to always be aware of the potential dangers they face. Possibly five, six or seven years of peace could erode the realization of the need for three things:
- They must put their primary trust in God, not in foreign alliances. Israel's only long term safety rests upon God. Both Israel an America need to repent and get closer to God. God is not calling everyone now to become a close, true believer but God desires that these two nations not forget their Judaeo-Christian Biblical roots. Foreign alliances have let Israel down in the distant past.Ezekiel 17:16-17 NKJV 16 'As I live,' says the Lord GOD, 'surely in the place where the king dwells who made him king, whose oath he despised and whose covenant he broke-with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die. 17 'Nor will Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company do anything in the war, when they heap up a siege mound and build a wall to cut off many persons.Historically, Israel made alliances with Egypt against the mighty king of the north, Babylon, but when it came crunch time their neighbors like Ammon and Egypt let them down. Foreign alliances historically have not worked for Judah. Reliance upon God is what is really needed. God wants Judah to follow His ways and thereby be protected.Ezekiel 18:15-17 NKJV 15 Who has not eaten on the mountains (to pagan idols), Nor lifted his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, Nor defiled his neighbor's wife; 16 Has not oppressed anyone, Nor withheld a pledge, Nor robbed by violence, But has given his bread to the hungry And covered the naked with clothing;Before Judah faced defeat they were told by the prophets to get closer to God and be protected, but in the days. of the last few kings they went astray.Ezekiel 17:18-20 NKJV 18 'Since he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, ...he shall not escape.'" 19 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "As I live, surely My oath which he despised, and My covenant which he broke, I will recompense on his own head. 20 "I will spread My net over him, and he shall be taken in My snare. I will bring him to Babylon and try him there for the treason which he committed against Me.The king of Judah and princes broke their covenant with the true God and ran to awful paganism even sacrificing their own babies. Therefor God sent them to total defeat and captivity.
- Israel in the end can only rely upon itself in a crisis. They must keep their military and their reserves very strong and readiness at a high level. It is probable that say seven years of unrivaled peace will lull the nation of Judah into complacency. This could happen to America too!
- America is the only nation Judah can really count on to maintain a long term loyal alliance only if the very liberal forces within America do not gain power. Someday America maybe too liberal and antisemitic and or too weak to save Judah in a crunch. Then, in this future, Judah will look to the new king of the north the Holy Roman Empire of Bible prophecy for help and will be suddenly betrayed.2 Thessalonians 2:4 NKJV 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.Judah will be double crossed somewhere in the future unless we have a surprising repentance. Paul did say that prophesies can fail. But most believe it is coming someday.IS A FALSE PEACE GOING TO DESCEND ON THE WORLD AND HOW?Take note of the words of Jesus regarding the end of this age with regard to Jerusalem.Matthew 24:15-18 NKJV 15 "Therefore when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 "then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 "Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 "And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.
Jeremiah 6:16 NKJV 16 Thus says the LORD: "Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, 'We will not walk in it.'
When asked to return to past days of stronger biblical and moral standards the people of Judah said to God's prophet, an emphatic No! This happened to Judah prior to their going into captivity. Could this happen again? Could this happen to Britain and America also? Is it probable that years of peace and prosperity lead to spiritual decadence, apathy and lack of patriotism? Yes it could and we can see the trajectories already starting. God warns believers against falling to sleep spiritually in the future.
Mark 13:33-37 NKJV 33 "Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is... 35 "Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming--in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning-- 36 "lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. 37 "And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!"
Peace is a wonder thing if the nations stay alert. Do not let Peace and prosperity lull us into drifting away from God-our eternal life may be at stake.
