THE BACK STABBING FALL OF ISRAELITE NATIONS OCCURS UNLESS-
When examining the end of age prophecies, one sees only the kings of the North and South dominating the world, especially the Middle East. Modern day Israel is no longer dominant in this area in the end times as they are currently. Clearly America does not have global hegemony any longer at the end. Why? Unless Israelite nations repent sufficiently, disaster could await them at the end of this age. How did Judah fall in the past? This could be a clue for the end times conditions and eventual fall of the U.S. as well.
Isaiah 41:21-23, “‘Present your case,’ says the Lord. ‘Bring forth your strong reasons,’ says the King of Jacob. 22 ‘Let them bring forth and show us what will happen; Let them show the former things, what they were, That we may consider them, And know the latter end of them; Or declare to us things to come. 23
Show the things that are to come hereafter,’” (NKJV)
Prophets with real power from God did predict the past patterns or “former things” that will help us understand the future fulfillment of the matter. We need to look at how Judah fell as a guide to the future of the Israelitish nations.
Isaiah 42:9, “Behold, the former things have come to pass, And new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them.”
God says to look at the former things He made to come to pass, then we can more clearly see the future events. WE BELIEVE THAT JUDAH –– BRITAIN AND AMERICA ––HAVE THE BIRTHRIGHT BLESSINGS AND IDENTITY of Israel today. America and Britain are magnanimous in victory(WWII), I Kings 20:31.
THE CRUCIAL MODEL OR PATTERN IS IN THE BOOK OF DANIEL
When we look at the model for the end time beast we can see the pattern that will happen to Israel in the future.
Daniel 11:28-31 NKJV 28 "While returning... his heart shall be moved against the holy covenant; so he [Antiochus, King of the North] shall do damage and return to his own land. 29 At the appointed time he shall return and go toward the South; but it shall not be like the former or the latter. 30 For ships from Cyprus shall come against him; therefore he shall be grieved, and return in rage against the holy covenant, and do damage. So he shall return and show regard for those who forsake the holy covenant. 31 And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation.”
Reviewing the text by sections we can reveal these patterns that will apply again.
“His heart shall be moved against the Holy Covenant”: When this vile person returned, He being bitter from defeat, he will attack the people and their Temple. It will be a time of courage and treachery for some. Antiochus sold the office of High Priest and persecuted the Jewish people forcing many to conform to Greek culture, forsaking the faith.
“Ships from Cyprus shall come against him”: This was again Naval assistance from Roman forward bases who helped the Egyptians turn back Antiochus Epiphanes.
“They shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation”: Antiochus set up an image of Zeus at the temple altar, demanded sacrifice to this image, and later placed pigs on it.
Antiochus’ Hellenizing policies brought him into conflict with the prosperous non-Greek temple organizations, and particularly with the Jews. Since Antiochus III’s reign, the Jews had enjoyed extensive autonomy under their high priest. They were divided into two parties, the orthodox Hasideans (Pious Ones) and a reform party that favored Hellenism.
For financial reasons Antiochus supported the reform party and, in return for a considerable sum, permitted the high priest, Jason to build a gymnasium in Jerusalem and to introduce the Greek mode of educating young people. In 172 BC an even bigger tribute, he appointed Menelaus. When later Antiochus returned from Egypt he took Jerusalem by storm and enforced its Hellenization. The city forfeited its privileges and was garrisoned by Syrian soldiers.
Daniel 11:32, “Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.”
The Jewish people were divided, some forsook their covenant with God and embraced paganism. Judas Maccabee led a revolt to retake and cleanse the Temple it took three years –– these are the ones who were strong in the 168-164 period.
America is also deeply divided. Could an evil leader from Europe use this to undermine the most powerful Israelite nation, America? However, some in this future will also be strong for God.
Daniel 11:34-35, “Now when they fall, they shall be aided with a little help; but many shall join with them by intrigue. 35 And some of those of understanding shall fall, to refine them, purify them, and make them white, until the time of the end; because it is still for the appointed time.”
Probably churches will be infiltrated by false teachers to test and lead some astray as Daniel now turns to the end times. Some will be helped no doubt by the Holy Spirit and by dedicated, strong brethren.
Daniel 11:36, “Then the king shall do according to his own will: he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished; for what has been determined shall be done.”
We know this was not all fulfilled by Antiochus and Jesus warns of a future abomination of the Temple as a key to His return, (Matt. 24:15). Antiochus is a clear preview of the Anti-Christ. He is one who used intrigue, flattery, bribery, brutality, and lies to undermine nations and peoples. Israel faced this in 168 BC and the Israelitish nations will face these kinds of clever maneuvers at the end of this age. No doubt he will be backed by world class deceptive propaganda machinery.
Daniel 11:37-39, “He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself above them all. 38 But in their place he shall honora god of fortresses; and a god which his fathers did not know he shall honor with gold… 39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain.”
This final dictator will honor the God of war and I assume love it. His vanity and ego will even surpass that of Antiochus EPIPHANES. “Epiphanes” means highly exalted one. He exalted himself, yet remained loyal to the Greek polytheist assortment of gods. The final Beast will not, being possessed by Satan who wishes to be worshiped above the true God. Some speculate that he will be some kind of sexual pervert and have a Napoleonic complex.
WILL AMERICA AND THE BRITISH COMMONWEALTH NATIONS REPENT?
It looks like Britain has gone beyond the point of no return in secularism, but has she? America is showing some small signs of turning back toward a more Godly, traditional nation. Is it enough? WILL IT LAST ?
2 Chronicles 7:14, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
If the Israelitish nations will turn back to the God of the Bible they will be spared a lot of the pain involved in the great tribulation that is coming upon the entire planet.
Daniel 12:7, “…and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; and when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished.”
The power of America and Israel during the end times will be weakened to allow the beast to dominate. However the level of downturn could be curtailed by our repentance.
