GOD IS NOT A TRINITY, IT IS FATHER AND SON - HOWEVER THEIR SPIRIT IS SPECIAL
Paul’s epistles in their greetings and acknowledgments do not put the Holy Spirit on a par with God the Father and God the Son, Jesus Christ. Note Paul acknowledges both the Father and Christ. This same pattern exists EVERYWHERE. If the Holy Spirit is equal to the other two members of the God family why is it being overlooked? The obvious answer is that as great and powerful as God’s Holy Spirit is, it IS not on the same level as members of the God Family. Peter also continues the same pattern.
2 Peter 1:2, “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,” (KJV)
1 Corinthians 1:3, “Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.”
This pattern is continued throughout the New Testament. I John 5:7 seems to support the Trinity Doctrine. However it is a forgery, or an inserted verse that has no authenticity. It was inserted falsely many centuries later. We assume that those who wanted to prove the doctrine but could not do it from the scripture alone inserted this verse. Note who John acknowledges in this letter: I John 1:3 shows that he has fellowship with the Father and with the Son, Jesus Christ. No mention of a third and equal God-head exists.
1 John 1:3, “That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.”
THE HOLY SPIRIT IS GOD'S AWESOME EXTENDED POWER, UNLIKE ANYTHING WE HAVE
The Holy Spirit Is Like The Spiritual Right Hand Of God. The Father and the Son can project this intelligent power anywhere in the universe they wish, 24/7, to do their explicit will. The Holy Spirit is the essence, power, mind and spiritual extension of God. God begets Christians as His sons through this Spirit. It strengthens Christian spiritually, converts and serves as an earnest or guarantee of eternal life. It can think and feel as inspired and led by God. Wow!
The Holy Spirit is described in the Bible as "the Spirit of God," "the Spirit of the Lord," "the Spirit of Jesus Christ," "the Spirit of truth," and "comforter" or "advocate." It is the power of God, the mind of God and the extended means by which God accomplishes His work throughout the universe. God gave the order and His spirit carried it out in full.
Genesis 1:1-3, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. 3 Then God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light.” (NKJV)
In some manner, it is God’s powerful force or like an extended right arm at His command.
IS THE SPIRIT LIKE AN ADVANCED COMPUTER OR A.I. ?
The first thing we must acknowledge is that the spirit of God is “Holy.” It represents God the Father Himself. Note this exchange with the corrupt leaders in Israel:
Matthew 12:24-32, “Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, ‘This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons… 30 He who is not with Me is against Me…31 Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.”
God would allow them to not believe in Jesus for now because He came to die for our sins, but rejecting the obvious works of God through His spirit would not be allowed. He is warning them against committing an unpardonable sin. Resisting the Holy Spirit is resisting God. Further, as God’s agent, the Holy Spirit is involved in the baptism process. It infuses us with the some of the Spirit of God.
Matthew 28:19-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.”
But is the Holy Spirit like A.I.? Possibly in some ways, but it is so much more than any powerful advanced computer program. The Holy Spirit can feel and be offended unlike a cold computer program.
Ephesians 4:30-31, “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.”
Note that certain evil behavior grieves the Holy Spirit like a parent who worries over his wayward child. It also leads us and helps believers pray more effectively.
Romans 8:14, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”
Romans 8:26-27, “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”
The greatness of the Holy Spirit is something we may never fully understand until we are in the family of God. It is clearly Holy intelligent powerful and special.
